PCM vs Dolby True. “300″ Bluray, Am I missing something?Ok. So I expected to see a thread like this eventually - I just did not expect to see myself start it. I went in to this release FULLY expecting the two tracks to sound the same minus a small volume difference MAYBE. BUT NO. There is a HUGE difference. The PCM track is much fuller and distinct accross the front soundstage. I really do not hear much of a difference across the surrounds. Maybe a touch more "in your face" but not much imo.So what is going on? I touched up the Dolby.
Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD. Toshiba HD-A2. need helpI am probably just confusing myself but here goes, I have a Toshiba HD-A2 and an Onkyo TX-SR605. I want to take advantage of Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD. How would I connect the player to the receiver to get this audio? From what I have read the toshiba is hdmi 1.2 which doesnt support True HD right? And if you connect through optical doesnt is downscale the audio? I am confused.

a review of the conventionHere are my thoughts about the convention:First of all, I have been a reader of tvshowsondvd.com for years, so that is how I foundout about the convention. It also helped that I live in Vegas! So, since I am such a big fan of DVDsthemselves, I thought I would sign up to go. I own over 1,000 DVDs, and my favorite kinds to purchase would definitely be the more rare independent films and other performance type-DVDs. Since I went to school in London, I have also been a collector of region 2.
