Great Scenes From Television and Film, Using Only Typography (and sound)
Glory DaysI’m with Mitch. (Mitchum is bitchin’!) I’m often reminded of the great Bruce Springsteen song "Glory Days" when I visit the DVD release area of HTF: a bunch of old farts sitting around, patting each other on the back, whining about how great the old days were. And being nasty, condescending and cold to anyone who doesn’t know the secret handshake.I for one will also not be buying the Shout release. FKB deserves better. Just as it deserves better than the treehouse-gang discussions.
Sub help please?I have a new Denon 3803CI. I have Paradigm Studio 60’s with matching center. I am using a 10 or 11 year old JBL sub. Still sounds okay, but will clip if you start to crank it. I am looking at 3 different subs as of right now. My system is in about a 800 Sq Ft listening area. The is a large opening on the left side of the room that is where my computer desk is and the hallway to go upstairs. So I am not sure of the actualy Sq ft of both areas combined. I listen to music as well as.
The Mist: A Quickie ReviewI Mist this in the Theaters:D So I wanted to pick this up when it came out on DVD. Although I’m sure a Blu of this will be coming in the Future. I had read Mixed Reviews of this movie that mostly dealt with the Revised Ending of the Novel. I won’t Spoil it here but this is definately a unsettling Ending, I read one review that called it Horrific, well duh this is a Horror Movie, and the ending is no more bleak than say the ending of Clovefield with one Notable Exception. Still I thought this.
QUICK LOOK: The Water HorseWatched this with medium expectations but once the ‘monster’ grows, it gets better.Picture is slightly soft.Sound is well balanced. The roar of the spitfire was fantastic.Score was likable as well.Very entertaining and fun family movie.Recommended!
best workout & gym trax for my ipod?. I need new music: mostly for running but also for a full gym workout. I need some suggestions as I’m tired of listening to the same old stuff. I tend to buy stuff on itunes, not really wanting to mess my computer with the pirate programs.
Echo Bridge on Blu-rayWell, that didn’t take long. I thought it would still be awhile before the lower tier studios put out thier releases on Blu-ray. Yet, here’s Echo Bridge. I have mixed feelings about this because there are no reviews I can find anywhere on this weeks Blu-ray releases from them. I hope the’re all 1080p and PCM 5.1 and not sd dvds ported over to Blu just to cash in on the increasing popularity. That, and with the low price on these at around $10-$15, may give the impression that people will accept.
