Explanation why THE DESERT SONG 1943 MIA?A little while ago I asked if anyone knew why 1943’s THE DESERT SONG has been MIA from TV and Video. I recently came across a piece on the net written in 2002 or 2003 "Candidate for National Film Registry The Desert Song"if the piece is correct it might explain why this VERY well received and VERY well reviewed film is MIA! It sounds like a real Technicolored Gem and knowing Warner’s respect and love for their film heritage it is a good bet they are working on clearing the rights issue.
