U.S. own more OIL then the rest of the WORLD!I read an interesting article that was based on a RAND study. In the article, it claims that in just one location in the United States, we own more accessible oil, then the rest of the world has combined! We, own enough oil where we can say, F-You OPEC, for ever! We have many other locations here in the U.S., as well as off shore locations that we currently are not trying to access. It really annoys me that while we are struggling to cover the cost to fill our gas tank, the oil tycoons are.

FS: Two Pairs of Original Snowman XLSok, i am sure i have no need to talk about these speakers. If you are looking at this ad, then you know their capabilities and their high value for the cost.i have two unused pair of satin black XLS with snowman grills. I used them as rear and back surrounds. However i decided to go to an on-wall route for surrounds.The condition is around 8/10 as it has a few marks from me moving them around alot for testing in different rooms and houses. However its nothing dramatic and barely.
FS: Pioneer Elite VSX-72TXVThe 72tx has the same preamp circuitry as the 74tx, 82tx, and 84tx. The only thing that the (7/8)4’s has over the (7/8)2’s is USB, iLink, and 10extra wattage, and the only thing 8(2/4) series has over the 7(2/4) series is FCDi scaler. BTW, i wanted to test everytrhing on the pioneer one last time before i offer it up for a final trade or on audiogon. I only use its preamp output and coaxial inputs so its pretty much a waste for me. If i didn’t get this thing as a part-gift, i would have never.
Any decent floor standing speakers in my budget? or should I buy cheap and save?After searching and reading for two hours, I feel confident posting this. I hope you guys will agreeI just purchased an Onkyo SR606 receiver on eBay for $399 with $100 cash back (so $299 total). I’m pretty damn poor, and it was a total impulse buy, but I setup a home theater PC and I can’t stand listening to music through the cheap TV speakers. The girlfriend is pissed that I didn’t get a larger TV first (currently a 27" Olevia 1080i LCD), but we all know the heart of an entertainment system.
