Not rated for “In Wall”So in my quest for extending HTiB cables, i only found 22 gauge wire that was not rated for "in wall" installation. is this a big deal? the wall and ceiling that i’m running them through don’t have insulation, in case this affects the wire in some way.
AMC HD Terrible Aspect RatioI just noticed Comcast has added AMC HD. I’m not sure what the problem is but the aspect ratio of every film, whether 1.85 or 2.35 is completely stretched and out of proportion. It fills the 16X9 screen.but it is totally unwatchable to view any film. It that AMC’s decision to visually butcher every film they show or Comcast’s? Anyone have any insight?
What should I look for when buying a DVD recorder?I would like to buy a DVD recorder, but I don’t know squat about them. It’s main use will be to transfer all of our family videos which are currently on VHS over to DVD. However, I suppose it will also be used for recording certain TV shows and maybe even copying movies occasionally. Are there certain functions I need to look for? Will your typical DVD recorder record and play music CD’s (CD-R’s and CD-RW’s)? Is there anything else I should be aware of before I buy one?
