From a newbie — in-wall or bookshelves?Hello all — I’m new to the forum, and I would guess this information exists somewhere here, but I can’t find it. I am moving into a new home soon and am in the process of putting my HD theater system together. I had pretty much settled on KEF iQ series speakers. A conversation with a vendor to do the wiring ended up with him making a strong pitch for in-walls (I forget the brand). I’ve had in-walls for the last 10 years — they’re okay, but I have a hard time believing that even more modern.
Early and Quick Review of Logitech Harmony OneThe new Logitech Harmony One is available in stores: I bought one tonight. Here’s a quick review. This is my first high-end remote. My remote for the past 8 years is the marvelous Radio Shack 15-1994. But as much as I like it, it’s showing its age: it doesn’t support my new Tivo and my wife gets frustrated the limited macros I can create for it.So, thanks to gift cards and coupons, we decided to upgrade to the One. I’m a fan of hard-button remotes; touch-screen remotes have never appealed to.
Denon 4802 - Zone 2 ProblemI can’t get the sub to work in the second zone. I guess it’s possible that the sub cannot be used in the second zone, but I’ve read nothing to that effect, so I am assuming for now that I am doing something wrong but I don’t know what.Speakers are set to small, the sub works just fine in Zone 1.There is no separate sub output for Zone 2.Any ideas?
Almost there, just need the display. Suggestions? So I have 10k to spend.Spent $3400 on Definitive Mythos speakers and speaker wireSpending $1100 on a Onkyo TX-SR805 reciever.Already have a Toshiba HD-DVD, and HD PVR.That leaves $5500. I’m wondering:
