PBS’ “History Detectives”- WHY NO COMMERCIAL DVD RELEASE?This wonderful show has returned for another summer, and I’m mystified that PBS has yet to put out season sets on DVD! As last week’s show ended, an announcer said that you could buy a DVD copy of that particular episode by contacting PBS. OK, <I>but what about the four preceding seasons</I>?I can’t believe that we have yet to see PBS put out a commercial DVD release of this program- if they did release season sets, it would be one of their biggest sellers ever!

Things are kind of slow for Warner this year..at least concerning two-disc special editions. It’s already July and what have we seen? Rio Bravo? Where are the SE for An American in Paris, LA Confidential, Bonnie & Clyde, Cool Hand Luke, Kubrick films, and all other films that were supposed to come out till the end of the year? Some of these should’ve been released last year, and still no word about it.
