The Odd Couple, Odd Audio Problem?Hi, Everybody!I’m elated that Paramount has has released The Odd Couple on DVD, and that they’ve done a good job of coming out with the various seasons quickly (Let’s hope that they continue this pattern with the 5th/final season).I had a problem with the audio on season 2: The laugh track and the music was disproportionately loud in relation to the dialogue- so that when you’d put it loud enough to hear the dialogue at a normal level, the laughs/music would be BLARING! Overload Problem with Onkyo TX-SR500 ReceiverI have a new problem with my Onkyo TX-SR500 receiver (it’s served me really well over the years–in typical Murphy’s Law fashion, this happened just as I’m thinking about upgrading). Last night I was watching a DVD and it briefly spiked the system. Normally my receiver handles this just fine; this time the protection circuitry kicked in and the receiver. Now the standby light keeps blinking and when you turn it on, it instantly turns it off. I already looked in the manual on what to do and.
Denon 2802 receiver and Playstation 3 Help - No soundI just got my new Playstation 3 connected to my Denon 2802 receiver with an optical cable. I also hooked up the Playstation 3 with an HDMI cable to my plasma TV. I am having problems in getting any sound with the optical cable. I have checked my receiver settings by assigning the DVD to optical1. I also checked the audio and BD settings on the Playstation 3, and I still cannot get any sound.Can someone give me some detail instructions on how to get sound with my receiver? I cannot afford.
