Vintage JBL Speaker questions
HTPC Power Mode - Control via RemoteI’ve recently built my HTPC and am now trying to configure my remote to control the on/off state. I was hoping someone has already done this and can advise on BIOS , Vista, etc. settings.What I want to do:Use my remote to turn off/on all my devices - TV, Receiver and put the HTPC in/out of sleep mode. I have Girder which accepts IR commands via a usb-uirt IR transceiver. I already have it configured to turn the TV and receiver on and off, I just haven’t figured out how to integrate it.
Is it worth the upgrade?I was thinking that having a thread dedicated to letting everyone know whether an HD media disc is worth the upgrade from the SD version would be a great idea. Now I know that virtually all HD discs look better but is it enough to warrant the upgrade. As an example i’ve heard that the original Mission Impossible is not much of an improvement over the Collectors Edition SD disc. So if you have a disc in either format that is only marginally better or not any better, post your report here so that.
