Kid Galahad-Where will this title fit in Warner’s 85th Celebration ?No one has mentioned the inclusion of the Edward Robinson/Bette Davis/Humphrey Bogart title Kid Galahad on the partial list of the 50 restored Warner titles for this year’s 85th Celebration. What themed box set will this go in ? Possibly an E G Robinson set or another Bogart or another Gangster box ? Since we are already getting a Bette Davis Set and another Gangster set is coming soon, it probably portends a first Robinson set or maybe another Bogart. Some of the other restored titles.
Did I short my DVD player with a screwdriver? Please help!Hey folks,I’ve had a Sony SD-DVD player for years: DVP-NS415. It works perfectly and has a better interlaced picture and a WAY faster loading time than any of Sony’s subsequent models. (I know, I’ve checked)I decided to open it yesterday to vacuum the dust out and hopefully give the laser lens a clean. Unfortunately, I was unable to get access to the lens, as it was housed in a unit I couldn’t remove.Anyway.Just as I was about to put the lid back on, the screwdriver literally brushed.
CompatabilityHi All,I’m having a HD front projector installed and was considering the x-box dvd as a source. The projector is only capable of 1080i. Will I have a problem because it’s not 1080p?Thanks,Bill
‘Cleaning’ Power and RemotesGood day; I’m about to pull together a home theatre project that includes a PAN TH58PZ700U plasma, an Onkyo SR805 reciever, Definitive Mythos speakers, an HD DVD player, and a HD PVR (cable). It will all sit in an in-wall cabinet with one of those pull-out-rotate gear racks. I have two questions:1 - Do I need to ‘clean’ the power on the way in (or otherwise regulate it) or is a really go surge protector sufficient? I’ve no problem getting it if it is needed, but I don’t want to buy more.
Bring ‘Em Back Alive comments?Dear Video-philes:While Tales of the Gold Monkey, a sort-of Raiders of the Lost Ark like series, is pretty high on the list of shows to come out on DVD. There was another show, set in the same sort of genre, called Bring Em Back Alive. The program starred the future Scarecrow (of Scarecrow and Mrs. King) and the future Captain John Sheridan, Bruce Boxleitner as Frank Buck, the 1930s adventurer who supposedly went after the big animals. Anyway, do any of you out there remember the series?.
