The Optimus Machs are actually very nice sounding with good efficiency and balance. KLH generally does not make good speakers with horrible balance and mediocre efficiency, but the 900B were one of those few speakers that KLH seemed to have gotten right, or close to it. My KLHs were good enough for surrounds, but I wouldn’t use them as mains. And then, the RCA center channel. RCA, by itself, does not inspire confidence. But the center channel I have is actually very good and compared quite favorably against a Polk Audio center channel I had. The Polk was brighter, but the RCA was very close on the highs but had better presence in the low range which helped the vocals. And, it probably helped that the PRO-CS55 used some decent components for the drivers and the crossover network. This RCA product was actually an Optimus product with Linæum parts. I think I did very well getting parts that work as well as they do for the limited budget I had for myself, considering that I am a college student.This system has taken me a few years to build. Some components were purchased new while others were used. Some were even broken and had been restored to perfect working order.It’s just a little system installed in a bedroom. But, it’s certainly better than settling for some wimpy shelf system.
